I have a job working for the NYC Park Service! Mainly I haul around large, leafy branches and sticks, arranging them neatly and artistically along the paths. Sometimes the branches are larger than myself! I also specialize in picking-up rocks and loose bits of garbage, too.
When do I get my first paycheck? And what kind of benefits do I receive?
I finally got to go to the dog run! Mom thought it would be a good day since there were only two other dogs there (maybe because it was the crack of dawn when we arrived, Mom!), and I had already met one of them on my walks. Cinder, a Weimeranner, was the Queen of the run as she sat on her picnic table throne and viewed me from above. I tried to climb up on top of the picnic table too, but I couldn't figure out how she got up there!
Jack, the other dog, was too busy crying for his mom to play with me. His mom was busy putting out a small brush fire that a cigarette butt started in the roots of a newly planted tree. I like trees. They give me lots of sticks and leaves to chew.
So I mainly just meandered around the fenced in area and sniffed, which is just what my mom was hoping for. It was a great first experience and I can't wait to go back!
Today my mom gave me a special treat. Fage yogurt. Yum-y! She says it will help my bones grow strong and long. I just want to eat the bones, why do they need to grow? Look how excited I am about this tasty treat-- I have some on my nose. I want to eat the container too!

Ok, so here is where it is a little embarrassing.
Yes, I got caught inside the bottom of this chair and my mom just happened to find me in this sad state. But MAN! Why can't she leave a girl some dignity. She just thinks it's CUTE!
Stacey and Jason came over to hang out with me today. I had a great time crawling all over Stacey and trying to tackle her! 
"The sun did not shine. It was too wet to play. So I sat in house all that cold, cold, wet day." --Or I at least wanted to until my mom kicked my butt outside!
Woah! Was that party fun! I am really tired, but I had such a great time. There were so many fun people (like Mrs Beth and Mrs Bender) and good things to eat. I stole tastes of macaroni & cheese, ice cream, hot dogs, cheese and some other stuff my mom doesn't know about. (Some things are better left unsaid if you know that I mean!) I want to give a shout-out to Mr Tucker and the whole Valerie-Clan. It was a great time, thanks for keeping me on the go! Here are some of the highlights from the party.
After decorating, Caroline and I spent some quality time before the other guests began arriving.

Today was the big event. My first birthday party! I was very excited all day and so my mom and I went over to Caroline's house early. I helped decorate by trying to eat the baloons's ribbons, the table cloth and all of the stuffed animals and toys Caroline had ready for her human guests. Luckily I am cute or else I would have been put in "time out"!
Caroline wasn't even in her party dress when I arrived! ...she was in her birthday suit!
Today mom was able to get out early so we could travel to Mutti and Papa-Dino's house in PA. I am an official invitee of Caroline's 4th Birthday Party and I am very excited. It is a "Printcess Party" and there will be lots of kids there. I like kids. Their fingers are sticky and taste like candy. Before I could go to the party though, I had to get her a birthday gift. I got her a ball. I love balls - tennis balls and squeeky balls are my favorite -- and so I bet she will like one too.
After we went shopping we hung out in the backyard and I helped clean up the yard by eatting the grass and bark that I found lying about. I also hunted the moths and fireflies that came out!
Look at how fast I can go! I am a mighty hunter! I am a cheetah of the Pennsylvania Plains! Zoooo-om!
So in preparation for my first visit to the dog run, mom and I have been doing some "drive bys" so that I can case the joint and learn what it is all about. The other dogs were doing al sorts of things, like running, barking, and digging. They were also jumping all over each other and playing with toys. I really want to get in there and strut my stuff!

I like to walk with my mom in Riverside Park. We have been watching the other dogs playing in the dog run and I can't wait to join them. I am getting so big now and mom says each time she comes home I've grown!
I caught my first pigeon in Riverside Park today. WOW! What an experience. Mom was quite surprised that the bird didn't fly away before I got to it, but I think it was my hunting prowess. ROAR! I am the Queen of the PARK!
Today, I went under the knife! My belly button was irritated with all my activity this past weekend, and so the nice vet, Dr. Martin, said I should have it fixed. I wasn't "fixed" only my hernia, though! And now I get to wear this stylish cone. My mom says it is all the rage in Milan this year so I shouldn't feel embarrased at all. She would know because she works in the fashion world. 
Everyone has a silly grin on their face when they see me too... why is that? Just because I am so ultra-cool, I guess. Take a look at these photos!
Jade's my new best friend. I had a sleepover at the Reap's house and played the whole weekend with Jade, a four year old Weimeranner. My mom went to a wedding in deleware to "live it up" and left me in the capable hands of the Reaps.
Jade and I got along well, and she was very patient with me. I enjoyed barking at her, chewing on her ears and stealing the toys away from her the most. She's such fun and knows all the great smells in the backyard. Yes the Reaps even have a BACKYARD! The Reaps took such good care of me that I barely noticed that my mom wasn't around.
This fall my mom said that we would visit again to see the "bay", run on the "beach" and feed the "horses". Anything to do with playing and food sounds good to me! What are horses and do they taste good?

It was steaks for dinner tonight as mom, Reshma and I explored the culinary delights of the Upper West side. We dined at Carne, a meat eaters haven and it was the scene of my first restaurant experience. I wasn't actually allowed within the restaurant, but I sat next to my mom and watched the world go by. The waiter brought me a fine, chilled water, and I dined on some rawhide bones. Delicioso! I was quite a draw to passers-by. From the neighborhood thugs "Yo! Is dat a pit bull, yo?!" to young families "EEEEeeeee-PUPPY! CanIpethercanIpether, huh huh huh?" It was a real lesson in patience and understanding... for my MOM!
