Spinnanama Wedding Next Week!!

The big day is quickly approaching. In just 8 days, we will officially become Spinnanama. Mom and Glenn left on Wednesday but I have to stay behind in PA and help with all the preparations - there is so much to do! I've been mostly in charge of trying out all the appetizers - little hard biscuits, nasty knuckles and bully sticks. I've also been breaking down sticks in the backyard for the centerpieces.

Before she left, Mom told me about the little church they will be married in. The Moravians that settled in Bethlehem, PA founded the Old Chapel in 1751. I'd like to smell the inside first, but I think it looks pretty nice.

Christmas Morning 2007

It never fails to amaze me how fun it is on Christmas morning. Everyone comes down stairs full of excitement and still in the their pajamas, the Christmas music comes on, the tree lights blaze and the coffee is brewed.



And then we get down to business.

This year my most favorite present was from Grandma Spinney -- a yellow and green frog that makes a lot of noise.

These are all things that we will be saying a lot of in the next few weeks. Not only is there Christmas and New Year's, but Team Spinnanama becoming official!

Santa listened!

Just yesterday, we received a wedding gift from the Reap/Reusser Clans. A gift of a Cannon Powershot SD8000 IS ELPH! In other words -- game on -- it's time for mom to get off the couch and start documenting my life again!

The camera is truly amazing -- without reading any directions whatsoever -- mom inserted the battery, then the memory card, and off she went. snap! snap! snap!

That's what mom and I did this morning because it is really snowy outside. It's from Office Max and is a special little treat for the whole family... and it's really easy to do.

Sorry State of Affairs

We are in a real sorry state of affairs. Both of the cameras aren't working and everyone is missing out on a lot of great events because mom isn't able to take the beautiful photos!

You are missing our great adventures in the ice forest (that was last night when the trees were covers in beautiful ice and Central park looked like it was inside of a snow globe), the Building Holiday Party (I only was allowed to pass through the lobby where it was being held because the food was oh so close to the ground....), and the beautiful holiday decorations that mom and Glenn have put up for me to take down.

So far I have successfully reached the Santa-riding-a-dolphin ornament and have removed Santa's head, as well as chewing the stuffing out of a cat ornament.

I will have to rely on old photos I guess... here are some to hopefully tide us over...

Christmas Tree 2007

Mom was right.
Glenn did have a big head after his bachelor's party, so it was up to us ladies to pull our weight and find our 2007 Christmas Tree. Here are the results.

Snow!

This weekend while Mom and Mutti were finalizing the wedding plans, I got to go out and romp in the snow. This is my favorite time of year I think.



And where was Glenn? He stayed home and went to something called a Bachelor's Party with his friends James' Son and Jim Beam. Mom thought he might have a really big head the next day so we stayed at Mutti and Poppa-dino's house for a girl's weekend.

At three and a half weeks these little guys really know how to 'nuggle. And that is one of my very most favorite things to do.

Ready for My Close-up!

On Sunday, we met up with Mr Scott for some family portraits. Since Glenn will officially be joining the family in January we thought we would celebrate with some professional photos.

But wow.... I am loving the camera! I'm really ready for my screen test now! Of course it could be a result of the very talented Mr Scott, but then again there has to be some natural beauty, too, right?

Puppy Update

Look how big they have grown!!! Especially the one in the center! How did he get so big?

That is mamma Kayla keeping watch over her babies. I can be so silly...

A Penguin in our Misty Midst.

Just like in the Wrong Trousers... a Penguin has invaded our apartment.

He just stands there.

Staring.

And he's blue.

I don't think I have ever seen a more nutty looking penguin... though then again I have never seen a penguin in real life.

Maybe the Discovery Channel shows us a different kind and this kind is what live in the big apple?

I wonder what he thinks about all day. Fish? The Meaning of Life?

I have tried to play with him, but to no avail. He just stands and stands, breathing white mist out of his upturned beak.

Mom says that's normal for a humidifier.

High-Tech Motherhood

With Ms. Melissa and Mr. Jason's webcam we can all watch over the new Knock-Out Puppies. Technology brings us together!!!

Marathon Madness

Ms. Cara and Ms. Brooke ran the New York City Marathon yesterday. Woo hoo! Mom and Glenn went up to the Bronx to give them support up there (miles 20 and 21 are really hard!) and they got to see a LOT of other people too...

On Saturday there was the Olympic qualifier marathon that we all watched while we did our morning romp in the park. Boy do those guys run fast! In the amount of time it took us to cross from 86th on the west side to the east side of the oval at about 77th -- about 15 minutes -- they had run all the way around the northern portion of the loop - including the big "Great Hill." Woah. That is fast. About "5 minute miles" fast.

All of this running has inspired mom to get back on the horse, so this morning at 5:45 am she and I were out there huffing and puffing around the Northern Fields and the Pool. I enjoyed it immensely!

Glenn got out of it because he was traveling for work. He has it soooo-o easy!

Ding Dong!

We heard a lot of that tonight -- because it is HALLOWEEN!



Instead of dressing up, this year mom thought it would be fun to answer the doorbell and hand out candy. That way MY job!

Mom and Glenn wore orange shirts for the occasion, and I was in my birthday suit.

Peanut-Peanut Butter!

I wuff getting sick... because when I do mom gives me peanut butter so that I can easily take my medicine.

Here I am just this morning finishing the last of my antibiotics.
