Already the End of May

I can hardly believe it is already the end of May.

Last weekend we were so busy over the long weekend I could barely keep up with the next set of friends we were visiting. Dad really wanted to pack each day with as many people and dining opportunities as possible, and though I didn't go every time, I did have my fair share of friend fun.

Comfort Table.

Here I am relaxing with Dad, as Mom works at her computer. (note the HUGE pile of laundry which is not getting put away right now...)

Wait a sec. On second thought this really isn't terribly comfortable.

Comfort. Table.

I guess that's how I'm earning my kibble tonight.

I have an idea. Let me just shimmy around this-a-way.

dad. you go that-a-way.

Now, I'll just go back over here.

And then under there.

A Little to the left...

and Ta-da!

NOW THIS IS COMFORTABLE.

Photos from the weekend!

We had a great weekend -- many visitors and many laughs.

Those girls can be awfully funny!

And then we had a spontaneous get-together with our good friends, Lisa, Dave and lil' Ben!

Weekend Visitors

This weekend Aunt Connie, Ms. Beth, Mutti and Ms. Laura are coming in to visit me. They want to come up and see my new house and where I go to the park. It should be fun showing them around the neighborhood.

Scary Moment

This morning in the park I finally met up with my buddy Laika. It has been so long and I really wuffed seeing her again. Since we've moved up town it's been harder to find each other in the park. But this morning Ms. Jane biked up our way and brought Laika along.

We were up to our old antics when my collar got caught on hers... YEOW! I have to say... I freaked out. I couldn't understand why we were suddenly, literally attached at the neck.

I was being choked!

I started fighting back and we got in to a major scuffle. Mom ran over and we eventually were released, but poor Laika was traumatized I think.

I feel really badly.

No real harm done, but --mentally-- I think I scarred her.
I feel real bad.... did I say that already?
I hope she can forgive me!

My Very Own Birthday Shout Out

Happy Birthday to ME.
Happy Birthday To ME-E,
Happy Birth Day Dear Meeee-eee.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEEEEE!

Yes, it is my birthday. And mom didn't forget. Nope. She's my mom and of course she didn't forget.

Why did you all think she might? I mean... moms never forget. They are like elephants.

What she did was plan for the official birthday coffee and donuts in the park to happen tomorrow morning so that she could be there for it. You see today, being a Tuesday, is the day she needs to go into work early. And my dad usually has to do the walk all by himself. (Mom says he's a saint!)

So since she wanted to be there for the celebration - tomorrow will be the BIG day.

Dunks anyone?

She has forgotten

Tomorrow is my 4th birthday, and I know she has forgotten to plan my party. Let's review.
First Birthday: Pool Party -- totally awesome.
Second Birthday: Coffee and Donuts in the Park -- classy, sophisticated.
Third Birthday: More coffee and Donuts -- ok here she's beginning to slip up... not original. it was so last year...

And now for my forth birthday. Nuttin'. She hasn't even mentioned it. Not even a peep. It's like she doesn't care.

sigh...

Maybe it is because I made her do all of her normal work yesterday.... could that be it?

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all moms everywhere - including my mom and Momma Siren (happy birthday too!).

In honor of this occasion I plan on allowing my mom to wait on me hand and foot. I know it is a great privilege, but she deserves the honor and I won't have it any other way.

The Art of Parallel Play

Saturday, mom and dad left for a couple hours and brought home another dog!

Benny, the Corgi, wasn't here to stay but only to hang out with me while his parents were at work. We did a lot of parallel play - not too much rough-housing. Our height differentials were a bit daunting as I never knew when he was doing a play bow, or sitting, or anything.

His little legs were just so short!

Not that I think there is anything wrong with that... but it made for some mixed signals.... plus he couldn't jump up on to the bed like Ms. Danan does. I am used to a much more vigorous play session. He sure does play a mean game of chase the Qweeker Man. He beat me every time!

We did spend a lot of time walking around outside though. It was his first time to Morningside Heights so of course I had to give him the tour. All in all it was great having a buddy over. I think next time I want to hang out with him on the Upper East Side!
