Scary Moment
This morning in the park I finally met up with my buddy Laika. It has been so long and I really wuffed seeing her again. Since we've moved up town it's been harder to find each other in the park. But this morning Ms. Jane biked up our way and brought Laika along.
We were up to our old antics when my collar got caught on hers... YEOW! I have to say... I freaked out. I couldn't understand why we were suddenly, literally attached at the neck.
I was being choked!
I started fighting back and we got in to a major scuffle. Mom ran over and we eventually were released, but poor Laika was traumatized I think.
I feel really badly.
No real harm done, but --mentally-- I think I scarred her.
I feel real bad.... did I say that already?
I hope she can forgive me!

my friend has two dogs & they were playing one day and the same thing happened. The collar of one dog got caught int he collar of the other & almost choked it! It scared everybody/

What a horrible incident. I am sure she has forgiven you even though it was not your fault.
There are some collars called breakaway collars which have clips that are easily pulled apart. For lead walking you use the two D rings either side of the buckle to attach the lead. Seems like a fluke accident but may be worth looking at.
