Summer Streets

This weekend Mom, Dad and I took to the streets to witness the second of three "summer Streets" days. In NYC, on August 9th, 16th and 23rd, Park Avenue from 72nd street all the way down to the Brooklyn Bridge is closed to motorized vehicles. And that means it is open to the rest of use walkers joggers and bike riders whoo hoo!



I really wuffed walking down from our apartment all the way to 62nd and back without having to worry about any cars getting too close. Here are some shots to commemorate the occasion.

Google, the people who own "blogger" the site I use to post these crazy stories, has forced me to "up grade" my template.

Ugh.

That means everything that I had worked on now has to change. Bummer.... So, please pardon our appearance while I try to figure out how to get all the stuff back that I used to have.... like the slid show and My across the pond folks.... and my favorite sites... so sad...

Upstate Weekend

We have had an amazing romp upstate with Ms. Susan and Mr. George.

They are so nice to me and we walked miles and miles.




We even saw a big battle between people dressed in funny clothing. BOOM! Those cannons are loud and everyone was amazed at how steadfast I was. I am used to gunfire after all.... and they are just big guns...



After the morning's activities, I helped mom rest her eyes on the back porch for a while.

I wuffed watching the birds come eat out of their feeder.


Goldfinches, purple finches, crested titmouses, black-headed nuthatch, downy woodpecker, and chickadees.

Yummy.


Dad even took to playing in the compost pile that Ms. Susan and Mr. George have created.

What stinky fun!

If I just keep moving mom will not notice the large bit of algae covered swampy muck that I have pulled off the bottom of The Pool.
