Summer Streets

This weekend Mom, Dad and I took to the streets to witness the second of three "summer Streets" days. In NYC, on August 9th, 16th and 23rd, Park Avenue from 72nd street all the way down to the Brooklyn Bridge is closed to motorized vehicles. And that means it is open to the rest of use walkers joggers and bike riders whoo hoo!

I really wuffed walking down from our apartment all the way to 62nd and back without having to worry about any cars getting too close. Here are some shots to commemorate the occasion.

I have loved it, too. I have to cross Park to get to work on Saturdays and it's such a nice change of scene to see everyone cycling, or jogging, or walking their dogglers. Wish they'd do it more often.

Hello, pretty vizsla! My vizslas would be alarmed by all that business urbanness. They much prefer the country life (and the couch/bed life is pretty good too). :)

Hey, that's pretty cool! Are they doing it again any time soon? We might make the trip over from NJ if they do... I'm sure Loki (and me) would love walking through the city minus the honking cars and ruthless sidewalk crowds.
