My mom was very sad today. She had to work all day and was sad that I would be all alone. Well, I wasn't really alone because some of holly's friends from Puppy Paws came for a visit. THREE times. I missed my mom but it was ok.
Even mom's friend Reshma came for a visit. She's really nice. I love her sparkley finger. I would like to eat that sparkley thing, but she keeps saying no. I just thought is was a bunch of carrots...
Yey! I made it up onto the couch today. I just backed up to get a long runway and LAUNCHED myself up there! SEE! I am a big girl too!
Out In The Fields at Stabler Arena, Bethlehem PA
Today mom, Mutti and I hiked across the vast fields of Lehigh University's Stabler Arena Sports Complex where the famed Philadelphia Eagles have their summer training camp. I didn't see any birds, just a bunch of grass, trees and flowers. It was exciting though!
My mom, Karen, and I came back into the City. The man who drove us was nice, but he took the long way home and we almost had some issues in the back seat.
OH! I forgot to tell you about my new friend, Holly. She comes to visit me twice a day (I guess once a day is not enough of a "fix" for her). We have a great time together and she is helping me learn how to be a good puppy. We play ball, and I chew on her shoes laces. We have a great time. Maybe she will be able to take me outside too, just like mom. Mom says she's from Puppy Paws. I don't know what that is but it must be pretty cool to have a fun girl like Holly from there.
Karen has to go "on press" for work, so I made a special trip to Pennsylvania to meet The Nelson's and The Spinney's. It was Pappa-Dino Spinney's Birthday So everyone was there anxiously awaiting my arrival. I had so much fun jumping and running around that large house. I especially enjoyed licking Pappa-Dino's face and ears. He's sweet!
I also met a special little girl named Caroline. You might not be able to tell from this photo but she and I get along great! I really like following her around and having her pet me. In August, she is turning four and I have been invited to her "Princess Birthday Party." I don't know what that is, but I think it will be fun. Karen has told me lots of people with be there to meet me and we are going to have "cake". What is cake?
Well, after a rough night the first night, I am settling nicely to my new home. Karen has explained that I am going to be living with her now, and the rest of my family has gone to different homes as well. Spreading the Vizsla love, I think. I am OK with this. Karen is a nice lady. She feeds me good food and gives me lots of attention. We went to Riverside Park this afternoon and it was amazing! There were so many new sights, sounds and smells, I wanted to stay there forever. Karen kept trying to take photos of me but wasn't really successful. Here are some of what she took though!

So this is it. I am moving away from my family to the "Big Apple", a place called New York City. Sounds delicious. I'll be living with my new "mom", Karen, in a little studio on the Upper West Side, and this is a chronicle of my adventures here.
But first, a little background. I was born on May 12, 2005 out of Ch. Szizlin's Ain't She Inspir'N, JH, CGC (that's my Mama's fancy show name, but she usually goes by Siren), by BISS CH Tivoliz CC Priority. I don't know much about him; he was a love 'em and leave him kind of Dad, but Mama seems just fine with that! Mama lives with Ms. Stern outside of Washington D.C., along with Jaeger, my half-sister Portia, and my brother Owe'n. I have two sisters, too! Rozalea and Ivy have both moved in with their new families and I'll write more about them later.
Karen picked me up from Ms. Stern today and I am traveling for the first time into the City. I feel safe in my crate in the back seat, but am scared that Owe'n isn't with me. How will he come to New York? Is he coming later? Why couldn't we go together? There were so many new, loud noises that I howled, barked and moaned the whole way there - two hours worth! But Karen wouldn't turn around. I guess I'd just have to ride it out.
Once we got into the city, Karen stopped at her apartment to drop off some of my toys and food (am I staying with her?) and we took a trip to the garage where she parks her car. I'm not really sure what a car is, but I decided I should just go along for the ride. It was then that I heard a "subway" for the first time. Karen said they usually travel underground, but this one went right over my head! I thought it best to remain as quiet and cute as possible so that this "subway" monster wouldn't know I was there!
After we dropped off the car, we had to get into another car called a "taxi". Boy, was I interested in the funny smells in there! I haven't smelled so many smells at one time! But I was a good girl and made the trip back to the apartment without much fuss. (I decided to save all of that for later!)
Once we got into the apartment, I began to survey my surroundings. It was just the right size for a little pup like me. Does the apartment grow as I grow bigger? We'll see!
I smelled every corner, peed on my newspapers, ignored my food and drank some water. Boy was I thirsty! It had been a tough day. I fell asleep and woke up a little while later in my crate. I didn't like this one bit! Where was Owe'n? And Ms. Stern? And Mama? Yikes! I let Karen know I was unhappy with this new arrangement! My plan is to keep it up all night long just so she understands!
