What's this White Stuff?

Last night Mom and I traveled to PA from NYC for what mom called "Thanksgiving". She mentioned "fun" and "turkey" so I was really looking forward to this trip. When we woke up in the morning I decided to take a peek out of the window and I was shocked to find out that all was not as it had been when we went to bed! My nice green grass had turned WHITE! All I could do was stare.

Mom, seeing the perfect photo opp. of me looking at my first snow, frantically tried to get her camera out and turned on so that she could capture the moment. But I, once again, foiled her plan. Ha ha! I just wanted to get outside and investigate. No matter though, she had that dang thing at the ready as I ran downstairs and confronted this new phenomenon.

Initially I didn't want to leave the house because it looked so different, but mom scooted me out onto the back porch and I very daintily picked my way out into the whiteness.

I sniffed.

I sniffed again. Then...

I licked and fell in love. Mom said the white blanket was called "snow" but I think it's really a little slice of heaven. I love to run and twirl and snuffle around in the snow, getting it to sit on top of my nose then licking it off. This was the best new experience I've had in a long time. We played outside for a while, then mom saw my nose was as red as "rudolf's" so we came back in to warm up. What a great morning, but it wasn't over yet!
