Good Luck, Laika!

This weekend Laika and her family with be traveling to Carlisle, PA to participate in the Belgian Tervuren National Dog Show. She will be entered in the puppy class for 9-12 month-olds completing against almost 60 other puppies, as well as in the junior handling class, being shown by her big sister. It's going to be a big weekend! Her whole family is very excited to be attending and may even hit some antique dealers while they are in the country! Shop 'til you drop, ladies!

As a part of the show, they even had sheep herding tests earlier in the week. Unfortunately, since Laika has only had experience herding Vizslas, Laika couldn't enter. I wonder if she could have received special dispensation since she is growing up on the rough streets of NYC and flocks of sheep are hard to come by? Possibly. Something to consider for next year, I suppose.
