Training: Day 1

Sure enough, this morning Mom and I rolled out of bed and put on our running shoes.

To be honest I didn't really think that she was serious. In the past, she threatened running in the morning but we never really did too much. It used to be all fun and games.

Now it's running through the park not slowing for Tasha, constantly barking beagle or even Dugan. Mom barely slows for me to "perform" I simply have to keep up.

Now I know what it means to be in Boot Camp.

We ran from the apartment on 101 and Amsterdam, over to Riverside, then all the way up to 125, and finally back down to 99th street to our normal play group. I figure it was about 3 miles.

It was only when I saw Laika that I had to put on the breaks. She hadn't been told of my weekend success yet, and I just simply had to tell her.

That was ok with mom though since she is really out of shape and was sweating like a pro. It was a great way to start the day!

sounds you are getting to be an athlete just like radio...or at least are giving it a good try :-) (hmm, you are also quite a lady judging from all those ribbons you've been getting)

Congrats, Brisztow!! on becoming a champion. Ms. Deb said you had 4 majors towards it - that's awesome!
Don't worry too much about the F-A-T comment ... At the Feb. show in SC Ms. Deb said Rudy was like the Pillsbury Dough Boy, all soft in the middle. But he also got 2 majors that weekend!
If you want to start doing agility, tell your Mom she needs to take you to a class so she can learn - the jumping, running, and climbing part is no problem for a talented Vizsla like yourself.
