One More Hour
This morning mom and Glenn woke up a little early. We did our usual 'nuggle time in bed where I burrow under the covers and catch a few more z's. Then once I am ready I get mom up by throwing the covers off her and lying down on her pillow.
But today something different happened. I was put into my crate when mom and Glenn finally drug themselves out of bed! I mean this is NOT the way things go in the morning. I didn't fuss though, because I knew there was probably a good reason.
Mom and Glenn left the apartment and about 20 minutes later mom came back and got me. We left the apartment and went across the street to the park.
There we met up with Glenn and some of his Upper Green Siders. They were celebrating that fact that Mayor Bloomberg ruled to extend the Car-Free time in the morning from 7am to 8am.
It was coffee and donuts for all!
That means one more hour of closed roads in Central park, and one more hour of safety for me to run around.
Mom also won't get run over when she is running and Glenn won't get hit when he's biking.
All around it's a really good thing.
I wuff having a car-free Central Park.
