Spiedie Fest in Binghamton

This weekend we've planned a visit to Ms. Susan and Mr. George's new place up in Binghamton, New York. They recently retired and moved from Staten Island to "upstate." I can't wait to see them and I am hoping that Ms. Susan made more of those delicious dog treats she made me for Christmas.

One of the things we might do when we are up there is the annual hot air balloon festival, also known as the Spiedie Fest & Balloon Rally. On the city's calendar of events they have written: 40 Hot-air balloons, 250 arts & crafts vendors, antique cars, live music (Brian Littrell, Loverboy and The Cheetah Girls to name a few) and our local delicacy "Spiedies".

I wonder what a Spiedie is??
