It's True!
We did have a snowstorm. I woke up early in anticipation, threw up a couple times just to get everything cleared out of my system, and forced mom out of bed. We stepped outside in to five inches of Winter Wonderland. And it was awesome! I was jumping and leaping, trying to catch the flakes of snow. It was so quiet and peaceful, that I had to bark and stir everything up.
We eventually made it to the park, and were the first to touch the snow. (Of course, what do you expect at 6am??) But soon there after, other dogs came to the park and we all played chase, sniffed at each other and did some snow wrestling. I got a bunch of snow stuck between my toes a few times, but Mom was at the ready to clean them out. Whew!
After about an hour, we made it back to the apartment soaked and ready for some chow. I ate my breakfast so fast that Mom thought she didn't feed me. I almost got fed twice! That would have been lovely. I busied myself with drying off and playing ball while mom got ready. We saw that it was going to stop snowing around noon here, so just before mom left for work she took me out again. I tried my hardest to keep the flakes off of me, but by this point it was six inches deep and falling in thick, heavy flakes. It was almost too deep for me to go to the bathroom comfortably -- HELLO! Snow is very cold on my bum. Everything looks so much different to me when it snows, that I sometimes get frightened of things that I normally just prance by. But Mom gave me some encouraging words I managed to make it back into the apartment without being eaten by the abominable snowmen shoveling the sidewalks.
So, now it is time for me to curl up to take a nap, and Mom to bring home the bacon. Or sausage. Or chicken. Or steaksssssszzzzzzzzz - zzzzz - zzzzz - zzzzz
