Look at Bertil Go!

A while back I wrote about Mom's friend Petrine and her family who live in Denmark. Well now, the baby isn't so much of a baby any more. Bertil is now taking his first steps -- never mind that he looks like a drunken sailor! He is just too cute.



The crazy-danes, as mom calls them, were supposed to visit us this past August, but they couldn't make it. I was so looking forward to snuffling baby toes! I guess videos are an ok substitute though. Pertrine's boys, Johan and Bertil, are growing up fast being "happy machines" most likely driving their parents wild.

Coincidentally, Glenn lived abroad in Demark for a year while in college. He's well versed in the Danish way of life and their need for hyggelig lifestyle. Mom and Glenn try to replicate that, too, in our little cozy New York City apartment. A few weeks ago his host sister, Sophie, her fiancée and their friend, all came over to meet me.

They met mom and Glenn at Pampa, an Argentinean restaurant, for some steaks. For dessert that came up to the apartment to see me! What a treat! I wuff meeting new people and these three were so very nice. I wonder if they will visit again? Or maybe one day I'll go visit them in Denmark! That would be fun, I think.
