Vacation Recap

Since I am still on my summer vacation, I have been slow to recap all that I have done.

But now I have gathered everything together, so here we go!

Dateline: Ohio, Shores of the Scioto River

Things have been hectic here - but fun. While I didn't get to go to the beach resort with my mom (cough, cough cough -- SHE's going with Glenn to Kiawah Island, SC! Why wasn't I invited??), I have found a lot of stuff to keep me busy.

After the drive to Ohio with Ms. Ida, I met up with my sister Rozie, my brother Owe'n and some other relatives - Mister Colton and Doctor Daniel. Fun was had by all but they really wouldn't let me play with the boys on account of my season.

Saturday night we had a specialty show. My brother Owe'n won and now they are calling him Champion Little O-Dog. It was very exciting! Ms. Deb said that I showed really well and she was proud of me. I took a second place and so did sissy Rozie.

On Sunday, we left Ohio and Ms. Deb and Ms. Peggy took us for an adventure. The boys went first (what happened to ladies first??) and then we got to go. It was AWESOME! The Scioto River. There was a rocky shoreline but I never noticed as my feet barely touched the ground.

Dateline: Somewhere outside Washington, D.C.
We got back to Ms. Peggy's late Sunday night and, after a run in the yard, I went to jail! Well, what I mean is, because of this "season thing, I had to relax in my crate for a while. *sigh* I really wanted to play with the boys but it was just not meant to be.

I do miss my mom, but I am very much enjoying my family vacation here in Maryland. I'm getting back to my roots!

Since we came back to Ms. Deb's, I have been hanging out with my mama Siren and spent some quality time with my sister. We had some runs at McKee Besher and last week I met cousin Champ and my little brother Riley. They are fun and Riley is just the best, although Rozie tried to steal him from me. I wuff Riley!

Ms. Deb says I'm going see my mom this Sunday after I do my show thing at the Conestoga Vizsla Club Dog Show. I can't wait to see her! I wonder if she brought me anything from HER vacation??? Maybe it's a t-shirt from South Carolina? I wuff presents! Hopefully, I can bring my mom a treat from my vacation -- a first place ribbon!
