My First Dog Show!

Today I experienced my first Dog Show. I was very excited about going and wouldn't let mom sleep in at all. We got up, did our morning walk, got ready to go, and then...

we waited...

Why were we waiting? The RCN Guy! Mom made an appointment a long time ago to get a "land line" put in and totally forgot to change it once we made these new plans. So, she figured she better wait for him. And that's was we did. For three hours. Waited. And guess what? He never came! (Mom taught me some new words that she told me I couldn’t write here.)

We finally got on the road at 11 and made our way to Somerville NJ, to the site of the AKC Dog show. It had a Vizsla Specialty and so there lots of my kind of dog to play with. Well, actually we didn't do any playing at all. They just paid attention to their "handlers" and ran around in a big circle. How much fun can that be?

I got to see my real momma, Siren, go around the ring too. Mom took some shots of her and Ms. Stern strutting their stuff.

After the Vizsla specialty portion of the day was over mom went shopping. I got to stay in a fancy crate with the rest of the show dogs. It was fun and they told me all of their secrets... shhh... I can't tell you.

Mom got me a whole bunch of delicious treats from White Dog Bone. The "only place I'll shop" Ms. Stern told me. And, boy, is she right. The Cow Knee Caps are delicious, and the Rawhide "Tortilla" is the best. But, the Piece de la Resistance is... drum roll please... the HUGE PIG EAR! Yummy!

Why aren't you as excited as I am? Man, oh man. This is the most delicious thing I think I have ever tasted. And mom makes funny noises when I try to bring it on the bed. It's fun for the whole family.
