The Case of the Mutant spot

So mom has been closely observing a bald spot that is at the base of my skull. It appeared the day of the Gas/Hives incident and hasn't gone away. After much consultation with Ms. Stern, Mom is finally convinced that I am not a mutant, but rather a dog who has been bitten by some sort of insect, and as a result I lost the bit of hair around the bite site. This would certainly substantiate the hives, so Mom is going with it.

Ms. Stern said "Well, she might be a mutant but not 'cause of that spot." I am not so sure I think that is all that funny!
