The Dangers Of Being: A Child Star

In turning my thoughts to the coming week of shows in North Carolina, I would like to take a moment to tell you about my brother, Owe'n.



Ms. Stern and Ms. Jenna have been showing him at the various dog show venues along the East Coast and he is been doing remarkably well.

In fact, he's almost all the way to his Championship title.

Owe'n's Awards:
December 9, 2005: First time out, Owe'n wins BEST IN SWEEPS at the Greater Hickory Club in NC!!!!
January 13, 2006: Winners Dog for a FIVE-POINT MAJOR at the
Tampa Bay Vizsla Club's Supported Entry!!
March 3, 2006: Baby Owe'n does it again and earns his SECOND MAJOR at the Gateway Vizsla Club Specialty!!!!
March 5, 2006: What a Weekend!!! Winners Dog, Best of winners and Best of Opposite Sex for a FIVE POINT MAJOR at the Maryland Sporting Dog Association!!

Owe'n only needs one more point and he's "Finished". But could it be he will be finished???





















Here's my concern: will Owe'n go the way of other childhood stars, delving into rock-n-roll, sex, alcohol and drugs??? Will he be the Danny Bonaduce or the Leif Garret of the Vizsla Show circuit-- spending his later years as an infomercial personality, selling the latest in dog fashions and leads?

Since Mom works in the fashion world, she knows all about the Gary Colemans and the Jodie Sweetins, and the dark path they have tread after feeling the lime light. She has educated me on these things and, now, I am passing this wisdom onto others!

Owe'n -- watch out!
