Rut-Row!
When I was in the park today, I cut my left front inside toe.
At first the cut didn't look so bad so we thought it would be OK, but as the morning progressed it began to separate more and mom realized it would need stitches. I didn't know what those were, but from mom's expression I knew it wouldn't be good. So Mom and Glenn rushed me to the vet.
My normal vet wasn't in the office, so I saw Dr. Yim, who was very nice and allowed me to lick her face.
After she examined me she told mom that I would need to stay with her for a couple hours so that they could sedate me and put in the stitches. I didn't like the sound of that and when they took me away I was really upset.
Once I got upstairs in the in-patient area, I met the rest of the staff and they were all so nice to me. Once Dr. Yim was ready they shaved my arm and gave me some medicine that made me so sleepy.
After I woke up I was told mom was on the way and I couldn't wait to see her. But there was something wrong with my leg! I couldn't move my foot very well. There was this funny starred bandage on my foot. How did that get there?
Before they took me to see mom, the vet-tech put a cone on my head! Yikes! I remember wearing one of those when I was a puppy. I look like a space dog. And now I can't chew off that bandage on my foot.
As I came downstairs, I saw mom and Glenn and I cried and was so happy to see them!
We went home in a cab and I spend the rest of the afternoon sleeping on the couch.
I couldn't keep my eyes open. Good thing Glenn had the "lounging on the couch" experience so that he knew how to keep me company. Mom and Glenn put in Lawrence of Arabia and we vegged for the rest of the afternoon.
What a day.

Ouch! I'm so sorry Brisztow!
I can relate, I once cut my pinky finger - when I stuck it in a fan. Boy, wasn't that dumb! I had to get stitches and a thick bandage, too, but they didn't shave anything or make me wear a cone, but that's probably just because I didn't try chewing the bandage off.
I had to wait a long time to get the stitches, and they didn't put me to sleep, though they did give me some medicine to help. But it still hurt! And because I had to wait, to this day my finger is a little numb where it was cut.
Here's to your speedy recovery!
What a pretty cast!
Oh no! Get better soon!
