Staten Island Getaway

On Saturday, Mom, Glenn and I went out to another island: Staten Island. It's just across the water from where I live, which is called Manhattan, and it's very close to New Jersey.

We met the McAnanamas!

That's Glenn's family. His older sister is moving to North Carolina (I've been there and it's great!) tomorrow, so Glenn wanted to wish her "bon voyage." While Ms. Susan put together the finishing touches on the BBQ fixin's, Mr. George gave me a tour of the Island. Now, I know all the places Glenn went to school!

Ms. Susan and Mr. George put out quite a spread, complete with STEAK! CORN ON THE COB! BAKED BEANS! Mmmm...delicious.

While everyone else was finishing their food, I made myself at home in their backyard and both on and below their deck. I even made friends with the dog next door, though he was behind a fence so we couldn't rough-house like I wanted to.

I think I made a lasting impression on everyone. Maybe they will come see me in Riverside Park and I can show them where I like to hang out with friends!
