Vizsla Fun Day
Mom and I had a really busy weekend.
On Saturday, Glenn, Mom and I piled into the car and drove all the way out to Middle Island, NY, where the Vizsla Club of Long Island was hosting their annual Vizsla Fun Day.
It was being held in the Cathedral Pines Camping Area, and about 30 Vizslas and their families attended.
We met a couple of very nice Rhodesian Ridgebacks, and there was a special guest appearance by a Pharaoh Hound, too!
We all learned to do some agility (I wuff the tunnel!!!!) played some games, went through a rally obedience course, and had a lot of fun.

Mom and Glenn also enjoyed the catered lunch, complete with exotic sandwich and Asian pasta salad.
But the most fun of all was that I got to see Mr. Eddie, and Mr. Rich!
I wuff Mr. Eddie.
I wuff Mr. Rich.
They are so nice to me and give me soo-ooo much attention! It was great. Mr Rich was in charge of the photo contest, and Mr. Eddie's entries won most of the prizes! Mr Eddie, also brought my friend Chatter over to play, but all she cared about were the birds.
I wuff birds as much as the next Vizsla, but Chatter takes it to a whole new, neurotic level.
Mr. Eddie says that Chatter is going to be entered in the two specialty shows coming up this September, so we'll be able to hang out again soon!

Wow! Look at all the doggies - it looks like you had a great time.
I hope to meet other doggies that look like me and my sister Ruby someday
I absolutely love these dogs! When I was a kid (in the 70s) we found a Vizlsa puppy. We tried to find the owners - flyers, ads in the paper, let the shelter know, you name it...we tried it. Unfortunately for his former owners we were never able to find out who they were. We were happy to bring him into our family though and he stayed with us for 14 years, until he died from cancer. What a great dog Hobo was!
